Hours & rates

One hour. What we do with it is decided together.

There's no menu here and nothing to choose between. Every session is the same private hour — what it becomes depends on the chart, the question, and where you are when you arrive.

Timing

You don't need a good enough reason.

People ask me this more than anything else: can I only come around my birthday? Do I need a real question first?

No, and no. A question you've been circling is reason enough — and so is the vague sense that something is off and you can't name it. Most people can feel when a season isn't sitting right long before they can say why. That feeling is a perfectly good time to book.

Some come once, with one thing on their mind. Some come every year. Some come when the ground shifts. All of it is normal.

Before we speak

The hour begins before you arrive.

When you book, I start work. Your chart gets drawn and read — the natal placements, the patterns underneath them, the transits you're moving through right now. By the time we're on the call, I've usually already found the thread I want to pull.

That's why sessions are paid at booking. It isn't a deposit against a no-show; it's the signal to begin. The hour you buy is the hour we spend talking, and the preparation comes with it.

It also changes what the hour can do. We don't spend it getting oriented. We spend it on the thing you came for.

FIG. IX — THE WORK BEFORE THE CONVERSATION
One chart, worked in passes
  1. IThe chart is drawnYour date, time, and place resolve to one particular sky, and every body is marked where it stood.
  2. IIThe patterns are readThe angles the placements make with one another — where they agree, where they pull against each other, and what that set running.
  3. IIIThe timing goes over the topWhere the sky is now against where it was, and which of those places it is currently touching.
IVThen the hour.By the time we speak I usually know where I'd like to start. That's the part you never see, and it is most of what an hour is worth.
The work

Six shapes the hour takes.

These aren't things to choose between before you arrive. They're the shapes an hour most often takes — we settle which one it is together, once I've seen the chart.

I

The first reading

Where most people begin

Where every practice begins. Your natal chart in full — the placements you were born under, the patterns they set running, and the timing you're standing in today. Most of what follows in our work together refers back to this hour. If you only ever have one reading, have this one.

II

The solar return

Annual, around your birthday

Once a year, the Sun comes back to the exact position it held the moment you were born. A chart cast for that return reads as a forecast for the year ahead — its themes, its pressure points, where the openings are. I started doing these in 2022, and a number of those clients have come back every birthday since.

III

The check-in

When something is live

An hour when something is live. A decision on the table, a transit moving through, a stretch that's harder than it should be. Shorter horizon than a natal reading and more practical — what's happening, why now, and how long.

IV

Together

Two charts, side by side

Two charts read side by side. How you fit, where the friction genuinely sits, and what the current timing is asking of you both. This works best when both people are on the call and both have agreed to be read — I'll need birth data for each of you.

V

Specific timing

Electional

Choosing a date on purpose. A wedding, a surgery, a launch, a move, a difficult conversation. There are better and worse moments to begin something, and the sky is legible enough to tell you which is which.

VI

Exploration of location

Astro*Carto*Graphy

Where on the map suits you. Using Astro*Carto*Graphy — a technique I'm certified in — your chart maps onto the world, and different places emphasize different parts of it. Useful if you're considering a move, wondering why somewhere felt unaccountably right or wrong, or choosing where to go next.

Still reading and still not sure? That's the ordinary case, and it's what the free call is for.

The practice

Most of the work happens over time.

A first reading names the pattern. Living differently inside it takes longer than an hour.

The clients I've worked with longest keep meeting the same core question in different clothing — it shows up as work, then as money, then as a relationship, and it takes a few passes before it's recognizable from the inside. My job on the fourth pass is to say: this is that again. Do you want to answer it differently this time?

There's a practical side too. Once I know your chart well, an hour goes further — we skip the orientation and start where we left off. And when you're in a hard stretch, the question is almost always how long. That's the one thing astrology answers plainly: this eases in March, and here's how to work with it until then.

The offer

The same hour, at the rhythm that suits you.

Every rhythm is the same private hour. The rate simply reflects how often we meet.

Most people start with the free call and we settle the rhythm there. If you already know which one you want, take it above and I'll send the booking back with everything you need.

First reading? Use the code ASTRO30 at checkout for $30 off — at your discretion, no questions asked. Giving one to someone else? Gift certificates are available — write and tell me a little about them.

What you keep

The recording is not a formality.

Every session is recorded and yours for thirty days. People tell me the reading keeps working on them for days afterward — that they hear something on the second listen they weren't ready for on the first.

Take notes if you like, but you don't have to. Nothing said in the hour is lost.

Still not sure which of these you need?

Then don't choose. That's what the free fifteen minutes is for — tell me what's going on and I'll tell you what I think the hour should be.
