Broadcast Astrology is a conversation — with each other, and with astrologers whose work we want to understand better. Somatics, Jung, medical astrology, children's charts, the ordinary weather of a Tuesday. It's free, it asks nothing of you, and it's the easiest way to find out how we think.
We are veering into un-astrological territory this month, to discuss self-care and embodiment. Self-care is a topic that we have been speaking to for many months now.
The episode on Podbean
Broadcast Astrology is co-hosted with Lisa Pesnichak, a professional astrologer practicing as The Dynamic Self. We started it in 2024 and have kept to roughly a monthly rhythm since.
Some months we take a single technique and pull it apart between us — composite charts, the shape of a relationship read as its own entity. Other months we bring in someone whose corner of the field we want to understand better, and mostly get out of their way.
What ties it together is that neither of us is interested in astrology as prediction theatre. We're interested in what it's actually for.
Lisa Pesnichak — The Dynamic SelfI came back from a dark retreat — days in complete darkness, no light at all — and recorded an episode about what the planets became in there.
It is not an analytical episode. The chart is a rigorous, intellectual thing most of the time, and that is how I usually work. This was the other end of it: archetype met in the subconscious rather than read off a page.
If you want to know what I actually think astrology is underneath the technique, this is the hour to listen to.
An astrologer accredited by both the National Council for Geocosmic Research and the International Society for Astrological Research.
An emergency physician of seventeen years who now reads charts.
A Jungian astrologer trained at Pacifica.
A teacher of evolutionary astrology with thirty years in the work.
It's a small field and a serious one. These are the conversations that keep a practice honest.
The podcast is two astrologers thinking out loud about everyone. A reading is an hour spent entirely on your chart, your patterns, and the question you actually came with.
If the way we talk here makes sense to you, that hour is the next step. Start with fifteen free minutes.
